Congratulations Prof. Dr. Idan Shalev!

Prof. Dr. Idan Shalev has just been offered a new post as Assistant Professor at Pennsylvania State University’s new Center for the Study and Prevention of Child Maltreatment. His interest in the field of child maltreatment was stimulated mainly by his experience at the Think Tank Meeting. Also, Idan has been made a 2013 Jacobs Foundation Conference Young Scholar for his work on childhood stress and telomeres. Idan is working on a new finding, showing telomere erosion was accelerated among members of our cohort in New Zealand who experienced episodes of major depression, PTSD, or anxiety disorder in the period between two blood samples taken at ages 26 and 38 years.
